Activity Report
The hands-on training session on the GM Counter (Geiger-Muller Counter) was conducted by Prof. Manohar Lal Kaushal at the nuclear physics lab of G.G.D.S.D College Hariana. The training aimed to provide students with practical knowledge and skills in radiation detection and measurement using this essential device.
The GM Counter is a critical instrument used to measure ionizing radiation, widely applied in fields such as nuclear physics, environmental monitoring, and medical diagnostics. The primary objective of the training was to familiarize students with the operation and principles of radiation detection and measurement.
All students demonstrated competence in setting up and using the GM Counter to detect and measure radiation. They appreciated the practical approach and the clarity of Prof. Kaushal's instructions. The training was a success, providing students with practical experience and increased confidence in using the device for radiation detection and measurement.
Hands-on training transforms passive learning into an active and immersive experience, making it an effective educational tool. This session equipped students with the knowledge and skills they need for success in fields related to radiation detection and measurement.
